The stair down is steep, and as it descends, a sickening smell rises to meet you: sweet incense and rotting corpses, the acrid scent of coal fire. The stone of the staircase turns to broken tiles of ancient black marble. The entrance is marked with an infamous sigil, that of a demon lord.
