Amar and His Broken Horse

A tattered yellow cloak drapes the broad shoulders of Amar Wildberrie. Despite his towering frame and formidable bearing, he carries himself in a slouched, brooding fashion—both the heft of the greatsword on his back and its grisly deeds weigh heavily on the man. He peers from beneath a shadowed brow with a single green eye, the left clouded and glassy, nestled in wrinkled scar tissue. He carries on his belt the broken hilt of a wooden sword—little more than a child’s plaything—and keeps close at hand the remnants of a toy horse.
