The boat rocks gently under your feet, rising and falling with the tide as the coastline looms on your starboard side. The sails flutter as the crew loosens the lines, dropping the vessel’s speed to a crawl. The early morning mist parts as the sun breaks the horizon, and in the distance, you spot the towering spires of the city. Soon, the clamor of activity on the city’s docks reaches your ears—workers hauling goods, passengers embarking and disembarking, sailors prepping ships for departure. The massive city emerges from the mist, a sprawl of squat buildings and soaring towers, and you prepare to disembark.
