Entering this dimly-lit tavern reminds you of entering the galley of a ship, and it takes you only a second to realize that this similarity is by design. The wooden walls display parts of different sailing vessels: a rudder, a plank featuring the name of a sunken ship, a tattered pennant, a helm’s wheel. The bar has clearly been crafted from two repurposed lifeboats, and crossed oars hang on the wall behind the counter. Serving as a mascot for the tavern, a tarnished bronze figurehead in the shape of a woman holding a harpoon has been mounted on a simple wooden pedestal.
