A scythe projects out over the door to this tavern, and a gaily painted wooden sign hanging from its handle declares the place “The Thirsty Thresher.” A broad deck behind the building is covered with tables and benches for outdoor eating and perhaps for other town functions. It looks welcoming and homey, despite the rusty blade of that scythe.
