Simple percussion, backing chants, and messily plucked strings place the party in a desert, waylaid by a complication. It could be a puzzle, awful negotiations from a position of disadvantage, or narrowly avoiding armed conflict while sneaking through a guarded temple or dungeon. The adventurers may not be in mortal danger, but that could change quickly should they make the wrong move.
