It's just a breastplate, really. And some other pieces, and a helmet. Iron is made from the earth, right? The leather straps—those are from animals. The plate is embossed with a deer—Elk?—something with hooves and antlers. Wool lining. Yes. From sheep. This armor doesn't look so intimidating, although even imagining a hand trapped in one of those gauntlets puts a mean twitch in one eye.
