Using Roam
Roam is a user interface in Opus ideal for browsing the audio library and running sessions on-the-fly without preparation.
How do I find audio in Roam?
You can use tags, filters and keywords to narrow down the results. For instance, you can search for only results that are Ambience, Fantasy, and have the Coastal tag:
How do I play audio in Roam?
Clicking on the audio row—play button, thumbnail, title, etc.—will play the audio.
Preparing a session
While Roam is a tool to play on the go or to browse our content, you can still save elements to play during your session. We call that pinning. How does “pinning” work in Roam?
You can pin search results that you want to come back to later in the session (they’re just temporary, so they go away once the window is closed). Pinned ambiences, music and sound effects go to the right sidebar. You’ll see a notification (a coloured point) next to the concerned type of audio.
Adding playlists
Making your own playlists is easy to do, but to save time, you can load preexisting playlists easily (SFX, Ambiences or music). To do so, click on the + button in the right corner, either under Ambience, Music or SFX. It opens a modal that allows you to select playlists to load in your session. Doing so allows you to expand these playlists and play them at will. You can enable or disable playlists by opening the modal and clicking on any of them.
