The haft of this otherwise ordinary pickaxe is wrapped in fine black cord, unusual for a simple tool. Dislodging it from the ground, you wipe away a not-insignificant amount of dirt and grime. The very tip shines with a brilliance that is obviously magical, but the rest of the head—severely pitted and spotted with rust—implies that it was enchanted after being used for digging. Whether it was bespelled out of desperation or sheer absurdity is unknowable, but giving it a practice swing you do know it is no less deadly for its humble origins.
