Before you is the entrance to what at first appears to be a marbled spiral staircase. However, where you would expect to see steps, there is instead a floor of smooth, sloped stone. Ornately carved and polished wooden handrails snake upward to provide stability to any would-be climber. The ramp corkscrews up the tower at a comfortably traversable incline, ideal for transporting goods and providing access to the upper floors.
