A wailing set of string instruments lure the listener in with a haunting tune, one that evokes mystery, perhaps a sense of foreboding, and above all else… anticipation. This introduction fades out, and a more active beat begins. The bows strike the strings more harshly, less drawn out. Instead of only mystery, the listener is now the prey of something nefarious.
