Growling, baritone voices speak to each other from across the camp, but most of the conversations are short; the voices quiet to give way to the chorus of crickets chirping in the night. Booted feet trundle through the campsite, the detritus of the forest crunching beneath thundering footfalls. Large, strange beasts emit low, rattling growls.
