The waves battering the seashore can be heard from within this cave, though the listener is safe—for now—from the tide. Rocks clatter from breaks in the wall, and a steady stream runs through the stone at the bottom of the cavern, leading back out to the burgeoning waters. Water drips from ceiling crevices and a rat occasionally squeaks and skitters off.
