Quiet can be relative, and this city certainly qualifies, but it is still a city. The busy lives of the people continue even during these solemn hours, with laborers ferrying goods from one district to another, dogs scaring off would-be trespassers, and all manner of people going about their day as they sweep doorways, tend to horses, and navigate the cobbled streets. Still, one can appreciate the lack of shouting and spirited conversations. The people may be busy, but they aren’t chatty.
