A simple bass and picked guitar line is joined by a second guitar picking higher notes at a faster tempo before a rhythmic drumbeat comes in. As the melody builds, a heavy, overdriven guitar blasts into the piece adding weight to the rhythm section as the drumbeat ups the tempo. Following this the song mellows as only the original guitar and bassline can be heard, and viols join in long, sweeping strokes. A drumbeat begins to build once more as the volume increases and the overdriven guitar comes back in—more softly this time—as the drums hammer out a more complex rhythm. The piece concludes as the overdriven guitar slows down, gradually becoming the only instrument as it holds the final chord before fading away.
